Job Description
The position of the Technical Services Librarian exists to manage technical services in the Library to ensure that operations are performed in an efficient and productive manner. In addition to technical services duties, this position performs duties in all aspects of reference services in partnership with the reference department. General library responsibilities include, but are not limited to, participation with the planning and implementation of policies and new technologies; keeps current with library, academic, technological, and cultural trends; conducts needs assessments; serves on library and college committees; participates in library projects and cross-departmental teams. Evening and some weekend shifts at multiple campuses may be required.
HR Info
Masters degree from an ALA accredited program. Two years post-graduate experience planning and managing library automation systems and technical services. One year cataloging experience using MARC, AARC2, OCLC.
