Job Description
Are you interested in a library position where you can build relationships, use innovative technology and practice traditional information services? The Wyoming State Library, located in Cheyenne, WY, is recruiting for State Publications Depository Coordinator (Librarian 2). This librarian will strengthen the depository by working with state agencies to identify and collect electronic and print publications and reports. The Coordinator will also provide reference services to a wide range of researchers using this collection and other agency resources. In 2009, the State Library will move to a newly remodeled building near the Capitol complex, which will give the Coordinator the opportunity to provide training and build relationships with state government employees. Because the state is rural you can become a leader in the Wyoming library community.
The Community
Cheyenne, located on the high plains of Wyoming, is a community of 55,000 with many educational, cultural and recreational opportunities. Your salary stretches because Wyoming has no state income tax, no sales tax on groceries, and modest property tax.
