Coventry Public Library is seeking a part-time Adult Services/Technology Librarian for approximately 12-15 hours per week.
The qualified candidate will:
- Be eager to work with the public and provide excellent customer service;
- Provide reference and readers’ advisory service to patrons in-person, via telephone, and email;
- Troubleshoot computer and technology issues in each department as needed;
- Act as a liaison to the town’s IT systems administrator, library director and Ocean State Libraries for technology assistance as needed;
- Collect and maintain library statistics;
A Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited library school is preferred. College degree, certification, or significant course work in computer science and networks is highly desired. Must have a knowledge of principles and practices of professional library work; knowledge of current trends in reference services and library services for patrons of all ages; ability to interact effectively with library staff; ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
Must also be willing to work nights and Sundays (time and a half) occasionally.

Additional hours could be available to work in other town buildings and departments, including helping to manage the meetings of the town council and various town boards, which are streamed over Zoom and YouTube.
