Tiverton Library Services seeks an innovative, collaborative, and service-oriented Young Adult Services Librarian. The ideal candidate has strengths in programs and services for young adults, contemporary and classic young adult literature, and current and emerging technologies.
The Young Adult Services Librarian works under the general supervision of the Library Director. Librarian is responsible for collections, programs, and services for young adults ages 12-19.

A Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program is required. Recent MLIS/MLS graduates or students who will graduate with their MLIS/MLS within the next 6 months are encouraged to apply.
This is a 35-hour per week position with health, dental, and retirement benefits. Wage is $21.98/hour. The position requires at least two weekday evenings and rotating Saturday hours.

Tiverton is a rural and coastal Rhode Island community of 15,780 residents. Situated in Newport County, Tiverton Library Services is comprised of two libraries. Tiverton Public Library is the main library and the Union Public Library serves as our branch location. Tiverton Public Library opened in 2015 and is the newest public library building in Rhode Island. Union Public Library is located in the historic Tiverton Four Corners community and is one of the oldest libraries in Newport County.
