Butte County Library is a large rural library system with six branch locations, adult literacy services, and digital
literacy outreach. The Library is known for its innovative, hard-working staff, which includes library leaders, program
pioneers and numerous grant winners. Both para-professionals and professionals play an important role in
successful programs for all ages. Butte County Library staff serve on many statewide library committees and
advisory councils.
