DUTIES: Checks library materials in and out; unpacks delivery bins; registers patrons for library cards; enters magazines into Sierra database; sorts mail; searches shelves for items requested by patrons ; directs patrons to other departments; other duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION: $17.00 per hour.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, but Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Library experience preferred; experience with Sierra/Innovative Interfaces ILS preferred.
Because this is a public-facing position, we are looking for individuals who are out-going and friendly, and who have strong interpersonal skills.
Hours: 2 to 4 nights a week (available shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 4:30 pm-9:00 pm) and every third Saturday 9:00 am–4:30 pm.
Position available week of February 14.
