
Direct, manage, supervise and participate in the work of staff responsible for providing a wide variety of services to library customers. Includes planning and directing support services; supervising activities and operations of those engaged in maintaining the collection and its distribution; and providing complex administrative support to the Assistant Library Director over the branches.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Library or Information Science from an ALA certified institution. Three years of managerial experience in acquisitions, cataloging or patron services in an academic, public, or special library; to include 2 years of supervisory experience.

It is home to the University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College, Kirtland Air Force Base, Sandia National Laboratories, and Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute. The Sandia Mountains run along the eastern side of Albuquerque and the Rio Grande flows through the city.
