Title: Library Clerk Description: Providing general assistance to the Legal Library department in the organization, dissemination, archiving and retrieval of information material in the Library. Responsibilities: Opens and routes daily mail, and enters it into Library's automated database EOSWeb, maintain publisher contact information. Maintain and distribute passwords. File, maintain and upkeep the appearance of the library collection, fulfills Interlibrary loan requests, processes new acquisitions , prepares materials for routing. Assists with ready reference research, locates cases, articles and other resources, handles requests for CLE materials, contacts vendor/publisher with claims, implements departing library procedures, miscellaneous photocopying, follow up requests, other library duties as assigned, etc. Qualifications: Undergraduate degree preferred. Coursework in library science or previous law firm experience a plus. Computer experience and knowledge including, but not limited to, EOSWeb, Westlaw, Lexis, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer. Other qualifications: Communicates well with supervisor, attorneys and staff. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds; ability to stand for long periods of time. Takes initiative and responsibility. Able to prioritize and plan, able to manage own time efficiently. Excellent organizational, filing, and communication skills.
