Warwick Public Library is seeking an energetic, team-orientated individual with customer service experience. This individual will perform routine library tasks under professional supervision. Tasks include library clerical functions, assisting patrons in the use of library computers, and providing reference and reader’s advisory services. Tasks will include assisting librarians with programs including book clubs and summer reading; maintaining appearance of the Computer area; organizing materials; and straightening furniture. Other duties may include participating in outreach events in the community, working at one of the three small branch libraries, and preparing simple programs such as arts and crafts projects. Must be flexible to assume additional responsibilities and scheduling requirements as needed to meet the coverage needs of the public service desks in other departments. Nights and weekends required. Other duties as assigned.
Candidate must provide their own means of reliable transportation to travel between branches and to outreach events.
