Job Description
Nature of Work: This position is located in the Gemmill Engineering Library and exists to maintain organization and control over the periodical collection, preparing issues for binding and updating the catalog accordingly; maintaining the reserve collection for each term; assisting at the reference desk by answering patrons' questions; assisting with the circulation desk; tracing or supervising the tracing of lost books and other collection maintenance duties; verifying library fines and assisting to resolve any disputes; preparing worn and damaged books for work by the Preservation Department; and contributing in other ways to the unit.

Minimum Requirements: Two years full time (or equivalent) of general library experience involving circulation, shelving, and interlibrary loan which must have included administrative experience with an online library system. Necessary Special Requirement: The University of Colorado at Boulder is committed to providing a safe and productive learning and living community. Background investigations include a criminal history record check, and when appropriate, a financial and/or motor vehicle history. Highly Desirable Qualifications: The successful candidate will have experience with Innovative Interface, Inc. Millennium software along with experience with students and faculty as well as experience with periodical indexes and other bibliographic tools especially in the disciplines of science and engineering.
