Library Program Specialist (Digital Resources Coordinator)

The Office of Library and Information Services is seeking a librarian to join our team as the Digital Resources Coordinator. This position works in the area of network services, and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting digital initiatives and resource sharing activities for OLIS and libraries statewide.
Position Function Duties
Duties include performing complex responsibilities in the planning, development, and coordination of digital resources on a statewide basis; evaluating digital resources and their use through collaboration with libraries and consortia; planning and implementing training on digital resources and related technology topics; participating in the development and maintenance of online applications and content management systems; and participating in the planning, development and implementation of a statewide digital library.
Other duties include performing complex professional duties in the delivery of library, information and consultant services on a statewide basis especially in the areas of network services and resource sharing; to assist in the planning and development of program policies, procedures and standards; to research national trends and current developments in public library service for local application; and to do related work as required.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the evaluation of digital resources for libraries, data analysis and visualization, and digitization and metadata standards; basic knowledge of PHP, Python, and/or SQL, and familiarity with Drupal; and strong communication and presentation skills, including oral, written, and digital.
