BiblioTemps® is an employment service from the Massachusetts Library System that provides experienced library workers for temporary placements in public, academic and special libraries throughout Massachusetts.
Title: Research & Instruction Librarian
Location: Wheaton College (Norton)
Start date: February 15, 2023
End date: May 1, 2023
Schedule: 20 hours a week, Monday – Thursday 10:00 AM-3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.75 - $24.00 per hour depending on experience
CORI: REQUIRED
Duties:
Meet one-on-one with students for research consultations; collaborate with faculty to understand teaching needs and develop lesson plans based on experience; teach classes from established lesson plans; may create video content, worksheets, handouts, and/or LibGuide content to support classes or research activities; may participate in other library or teaching and learning activities.
Qualifications:
· Must have experience self-managing project tasks and timelines, managing calendar independently using Google Suite or similar tools.
· Experience with LibGuides, design and/or video software a plus.
Technology Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have experience with
· Mac and PC
· Projectors
· Worldshare Management Services/OCLC
· General database/searching, with preference to experience in science databases.
