The Adult & Youth Information Services Manager is responsible for directing all activities of the Library Department’s Central Library Adult and Information Services and Children’s Services areas. They establish system-wide standards for programming and information services, and ensure that department services are meeting established standards, objectives, and goals and that services are provided in an appropriate and timely manner in response to changing public needs. Work is performed with professional administrative judgment and decisions are made in accordance with the policies and objectives of the Library Department, with review by the Library Director who reviews work through reports and conferences. The Central Library opened to the public in 1912.
