Tennessee Tech University seeks an exceptional leader to serve as its next Dean of Volpe Library. Reporting to and working with the Provost, and in coordination with the Deans of the colleges, the Dean of the Volpe Library will have responsibility for the Volpe Library’s strategic planning, programs and services, financial management, fundraising, accreditation, and management of operations to ensure the Volpe Library is meeting the needs of Tennessee Tech University.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Library Science or closely related field.
- A record of recognized achievement that qualifies for a tenured appointment at the rank of full professor in the Volpe Library.
- At least seven years of related professional experience with five or more years administrative experience in the main academic library of a four-year college or university.
- Experience as a director, department chair, associate dean, dean, or similar position with similar levels of management and leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated budgetary/financial management responsibility.
