Job Description
The Johnson & Wales University Library is seeking a reference professional to join our collegial and creative team. This position is currently an academic-year role on the Downcity Campus. This librarian will primarily:
- Guide and support students and other library patrons regarding best practices for information discovery, retrieval and use
- Schedule, customize and provide classroom instruction on information literacy
- Develop online guides and video tutorials on information literacy skills and optimal use of library resources and services
- Serve as collection development specialist and faculty liaison for assigned subject areas within the JWU curriculum and in preparation for new curriculum offerings
- Provide reference and publishing support for individual faculty scholarship and research projects
Additional Info & Requirements
Other qualifications:
- Experience providing reference and instruction in an academic environment is preferred
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as required
