YOUTH PROGRAMMER – The Central Arkansas Library System is in search of a full-time (40 hrs/week) outstanding, outgoing individual to lead and coordinate children and youth activities at the Main Library. The Youth Programmer is a public service position with responsibilities to include planning and actively carrying out a variety of activities including outreach for children and families both inside the library and out in the community. Activities include storytime, crafting, afterschool events, and other creative endeavors. This job also involves introducing and suggesting books and authors that promote early literacy to families, as well as working with the Be Mighty afterschool food distribution program and assisting with day-to-day tasks performed by library staff. Assistance with front desk duties, excellent customer service skills, and technology assistance, along with working every other Saturday on a rotating schedule, is required. Pay starts at $16.47 per hour with excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, company paid pension, life insurance, paid time off, and holiday pay.
