This is a 40 hour per week position requiring occasional evening and weekend work. This is a paraprofessional library position responsible for Children’s Services and planning, organizing and presenting programs as directed by the Library Director inside and outside the public library while maintaining safety protocols. This person works with families, reads stories and prepares activities for children, and assists in developing the children’s collection. Performs basic clerical library duties associated with a library including working at the circulation desk, assisting patrons, and doing other duties as required. Applicant must be able to multi-task and work solo at times. Applicant must use computers, email and commonly used software and apps. Applicant must possess excellent customer service skills and a strong background of working with children is required.
