The Library Director oversees all aspects of Library operations, including strategic planning, financial
management and compliance. They will serve as a visionary and public face of the San Antonio
Public Library system while actively engaging with the community, building partnerships, and
advocating for legislative support. The Library Director will coordinate assigned activities with other
City departments and outside agencies, provide highly responsible and complex administrative
support to the City Manager’s Office, and will exercises direct supervision over staff. See the
