Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Access Services Manager, the Circulation Supervisor manages the operations and activities of the Main Library Circulation Department by providing excellent customer service, personnel management, and strategic planning. The position also maintains responsibility for statistical reporting, and recommends Boulder Public Library circulation policies and procedures that can be coordinated between the Main Library and the branches.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years experience in library management, customer service, and supervision or an equivalent combination of experience/education. A minimum of two years of experience conducting performance evaluations. Demonstrated ability with using library automated systems. Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills, ability to set priorities, multi-task and perform complex assignments under time constraints. Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history and credit history.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS – In addition to the required minimum qualifications:
Master's degree in Library Science. Demonstrated experience using Innovative Interfaces Incorporated (III) integrated library system. Previous experience as a supervisor of a library circulation department. Experience working in a team management environment. Knowledge of administrative procedures applicable to a bargaining unit environment. Spanish language skills and/or experience working with patrons from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
