Job Description
Are you experienced with coordinating and retaining volunteers? Would you like to offer your services in support of a worthwhile volunteer effort, while maintaining your flexibility and work/life balance? If so, the beautiful, newly remodeled Lone Tree Library has an exciting p/t (12 hrs/wk) opportunity for you! You will direct and oversee the activities of the library volunteers, and serve as their primary point of contact. Involves planning and coordinating the effective use of volunteer talent and services for the branch. Assesses volunteer staffing requirements and makes recommendations for volunteer staffing needs, new volunteer programs or improvements in existing programs. Serves as a liaison with local volunteer organizations and agencies.
Additional Info & Requirements
Light coordination of community and civic volunteers and court-ordered workers required. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and representatives of outside agencies. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, and must be able to work a flexible schedule (evening and weekend hours are sometimes required). General knowledge of volunteer administration is required.
