Job Description
Library Clerk I/II (Technical Services) Requisition Number: 13-0916-A Salary Range: $12.88 – $17.72 per hour Opening Date: Monday, September 16, 2013 Closing Deadline: Monday, September 30, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. ABOUT THE POSITION We are recruiting for one part-time (28 hours per week) benefited, Library Clerk I/II (Technical Services) position. Location is College Hill Library (3705 West 112th Avenue), and the preferred work schedule is Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with Thursday being mandatory. This is a specialized library clerical position responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of the library collection. The Library Clerk is responsible for receiving materials, checking invoices, and processing and distributing completed materials. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS Required: • Graduation from high school • Some experience in clerical or general library work Preferred: • A minimum of two (2) years of library experience, preferably in public libraries • Prior experience working in position that required attention to detail, such as data entry or similar Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and skills may be considered.
