The Vail Library is looking for customer service oriented, team player who exhibits excellent judgment, has effective communication skills, and can provide a welcoming environment. Strong listening skills and an interest in a changing technological environment are essential. Attention to detail and an affinity for organizing data is required. Responsibilities include desk duties such as greeting patrons, transacting business on a computerized system, answering fundamental reference questions, administering library cards and check-in/out transactions along with specialized library tasks. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, arts/sciences, or information brokering necessary. Light lifting, stooping and bending required to move books, computers and other library products. Schedule is approximately 20 hours per week and includes evening and weekend shifts.
