Job Description
* Provides overall supervision and direction of the Acquisitions unit. * Manages the ordering, receiving and processing of library materials * Establishes and manages materials fund accounts. * Develops and maintains ongoing effective relationships with vendors. * Maintains and implements improvements to the library’s online acquisitions and serials modules * Administers or makes recommendations on personnel matters affecting subordinates, including interviewing and hiring staff; assigning, scheduling, appraising, disciplining, etc. * Designs, develops and conducts training for staff on acquisitions procedures * Participates in the development and direction of Jefferson County Public Library through service on the Collections Leadership Team, task forces and committees.
