Job Description
Teach sessions in the Tiered Instruction program in coordination with Introductory Composition and Intermediate Composition courses.
Share responsibility with other reference librarians in staffing the reference desk, which provides opportunities for one-on-one teaching, 10-12 hours each week, including an evening shift.
Teach faculty requested bibliographic instruction sessions sessions, as assigned.
Assist in collection development work in areas to be determined.
Member of the Reference/ Instruction Library Team.
Member of the Library Management Council.
Possible assistance managing electronic resource collection.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Info & Requirements
Required: Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; experience demonstrating organizational and problem-solving skills; proficiency in use of online search systems; HTML skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Library instruction experience, especially classroom teaching; experience or demonstrated interest in the natural sciences; experience with Innovative Interfaces, Inc ILS.
