Responsibilities include: Management and coordination of work of the following functional units: Materials Management, Technical Services, Virtual & Web Services, Information Technology Services, and Facilities and Capital Projects. Oversees the maintenance and acquisition of library materials; cataloging and processing of library materials; virtual and web services; information technology operations; facilities; and capital and operating budget for these areas.
Necessary Special Requirement: Ability to secure certification as an advanced Professional Librarian in the State of Maryland within 120 days following appointment; ability to meet re-certification requirements by completing 90 hours of training every 5 years.
