Job Description
Nature of Work: This position is located in the University Libraries' Reference and Instructional Services Department and performs the following duties: 1) manages the collection processing operation of the Reference and Art/Architecture collections, including the supervision of a part-time Library Technician II position and student workers; 2) designs, communicates, implements, and evaluates procedures and operations necessary for the receipt, processing, binding, maintenance, withdrawal, and transfer of materials in relevant collections (Reference, Art/Architecture, Periodicals); 3) communicates with Cataloging, Acquisitions, Preservation, Binding, and Circulation departments to ensure accurate policy and process implementation; 4) initiates and implements special projects relating to access and maintenance of the collection; 5) participates in the reference, informational, and instructional services of the department; and 6) supports the specialized research and scholarly needs of tenure-track faculty in the department.

Substitution: Two years of course work from an accredited college or university including twelve semester hours of library science course work may substitute for two years of the general library experience. Please Note: If education is used to meet the minimum requirements, you must submit a transcript copy by the closing date. Exam Schedule: Applicants will be notified of the time, date, place, and type of examination required.
