Library Program Specialist (State Data Coordinator)

The Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services, RI's state library agency, is seeking a librarian to join our team as the State Data Coordinator. Duties include collecting, verifying and analyzing data collected through the public library annual survey and other data collection instruments, submitting collected data to the federal government, creating, writing and publishing statistical reports and analyses in physical and digital format, and evaluating and implementing sophisticated data collection tools in an online environment.
Other duties include performing complex professional duties in the delivery of library, information and consultant services on a statewide basis, especially in the area of public library construction and assisting in the planning and development of program policies, procedures and standards, and related work as required.
