The Philip S. Miller Library has 2-3 openings for p/t (15-20 hrs/wk each) Materials Handler Technicians. Accurately shelves books and library materials. Maintains shelf order and appearance and checks in library materials. Demonstrates positive attitude towards patrons and staff. Must be able to work a mix of days, evenings and weekends. Candidates must be able to work as early as 7 am weekdays, 9 am Sundays. Position requires ability to stand for several hours per shift, to bend to floor level and to reach a height over 70 inches. Must be able to push movable carts loaded to a maximum of 250 pounds, carry 10 pounds and lift up to 35 pounds. Must have ability to learn library procedures and library computer system.
