Job Description
This position reports to the Principal, School for the Blind, and is responsible to support curriculum, instruction and technology integration efforts / activities, and to manage daily access to and utilization of information and technology resources, including library, media, computer, video, and telecommunications, Braille, and assistive technologies. This position serves as a consultant / staff development trainer to students, teachers, service providers throughout the state, and other educational staff to develop and broaden skills, knowledge and experience in the areas of library, media, and technology resources, and provides basic technical assistance and support.
Additional Info & Requirements
Salary based on appropriate education and experience; interviews to be conducted on-site at CSDB; annual employment contract based on standard number of working days in academic year (currently 185 days, August to June)Experience in libarary media, technology or related field; experience teaching/working with children (in an educational environment) who are Deaf/HoH and/or blind/VI preferred; Proficiency in ASL highly desired; must demonstrate competency in braille within 2 years of hire.
