
DUTIES: Checks library materials in and out; unpacks delivery bins; registers patrons for library cards; enters magazines into Sierra database; sorts mail; searches shelves for items requested by patrons (for either in-library pickup or curbside pick-up); directs patrons to other departments; other duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION: $15.00 per hour.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent, but Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Library experience preferred; experience with Sierra/Innovative Interfaces ILS preferred.
Because this is a public-facing position, we are looking for individuals who are out-going and friendly, and who have strong interpersonal skills.
Current schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00 pm-7:00 pm, and every third Saturday 9:00 am–2:00 pm.
Future schedule (Estimated Spring 2021, when the library hopes to resume full hours):
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10:00 am-2:00 pm
Thursday 4:30 pm-9:00 pm (except for every third week - Saturday 9:00 am-5:00 pm instead of the Thursday shift).
Position available week of February 1, with some training the week of January 25.
