The Lincoln Public Library is seeking an energetic librarian who enjoys working with children to provide exceptional customer service in a part-time capacity. Duties include implementing programs for children and babies, assisting and instructing children in the use of library services and resources, providing reference assistance, reader advisory, shelving material, and assisting with collection development.
Approximately 16 hours per week. Current schedule includes Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Future schedule, when library resumes full hours, includes every other Friday and Saturday 9-5, Library closed Saturdays during July and August. An ALA-accredited M.L.S. preferred, but candidates working toward their M.L.S. with previous experience working in a public library will be considered.
