The Bozeman Public Library is seeking a qualified leader who is flexible, fun, embraces change, has a good sense of humor and enthusiastically seeks ideas and creative ways to deliver library services in response to changing community needs. The Customer Services Librarian is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient public desk services including supervising, scheduling and providing technical assistance to the library staff. The person in this position works closely with their subordinates as well as the Assistant Library Director to maintain a customer service philosophy in the library. Must have a commitment to excellence, be flexible, creative, friendly, customer service oriented and enjoy constant interaction with patrons of all ages.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
·Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science; and
·Considerable (5-7 years) progressively responsible experience in library operations including at least one year of supervisory experience (preferably in supervising a diverse workforce in a busy environment); or
·Any combination of experience and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work.
REQUIRED SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
·Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Montana Driver’s License within six months of employment.
