The essential functions of the Image Archivist are as follows: (1) build and professionally manage high-quality digital and analog image collections that document the Museum and serve the needs of the Museum and its audiences, (2) develop and provide services that ensure user/researcher satisfaction, (3) raise awareness of the Image Archives services and collections, (4) create and maintain a professional, productive, and motivated work force, (5) develop work and budget plans and manage resources to meet those plans, (6) serve the image archives and archives professions through memberships, presentations at meetings, teaching, and holding offices in professional organizations. ...
